AFC and NFC championship games by Raisa and Rayhan Z., 602

The Conference championships were stunning wins of 23 and 19 points. The losing teams,  the Green bay packers and Pittsburgh Steelers were hit with a locker room illness before the game which may have caused their poor performances. Here are the overviews.

Packers 21, Falcons 44,  as the Packers and Aaron Rodgers ended their season. They also ended Rodgers chance to break Peyton’s record of 55 TD passes was a failure in the Regular and postseason, as the QB only was 6 TDs away from tying it, finishing with 49 TDs. It didn’t help that the Packers missed a 41 yard Field goal and gave up a fumble in the redzone. On defense, they failed to recover 2 fumbles and dropped 2 passes that would of been pick-sixes. So, Matt Ryan will try to win their 1st Super bowl vs New England.

Steelers 17, Patriots 36, as New England won their 9th AFC championship game, upsetting the Steelers. Tom played excellent throwing 32/42, 384 yards, and 3 TDs. Ben Roethlisberger threw only 1 TD, allowing the patriots one step closer to The Vince Lombardi Trophy, and the only thing that stands in their way is Matt Ryan and the mighty Falcons.

This is the overview of last weekends games. Be sure to watch Super Bowl 51 on FOX on February 5th on the first Sunday of February, and kickoff is at 5:30 P.M. Enjoy the game!
