Bright lights,
Darkness that obscures your sight.
Houses that are scary,
Costumes that may vary.
Pumpkins that are smashed,
Candy that is stashed.
A well-liked holiday,
Sweets are received without pay.
People wearing makeup,
People telling each other to shut up.
Everyone trying to fill up their bags,
Food that makes you gag.
Walking all over town,
Tripping over and falling down.
Candy that causes teeth to rot,
Caramel apples boiling in a pot.
Faces that are beaming,
Everyone screaming.
Let’s all have a nice time here,
This is a celebrated time of year.
This is a great poem, Kelly! I look forward to reading more of your poems 😇
