To make my poems
Less “dark”
Less “depressing”
Less “sad”
They say this
To try and change me
To change my ways
But really,
They’re just wasting
Their time
They think
That what they
Say
Will change the
Person that I am
I just laugh
I laugh because
They’re trying
To change
A person
That is not them
I don’t listen
To them
Because they
Won’t change
The way I live
Nor can they change
The way I write
So just shut those
people out
And just listen
