This year, the game “Among Us” has skyrocketed in popularity during this summer. This game has been released in 2018 but has become extremely popular during summer 2020. In September, the game got more than 100 million downloads and 3.8 million downloads in late September. Who knows how far this game will continue growing in popularity. “It’s fun :)” said Alicia from IS187. “I played it and I thought it was entertaining,” said Rania, also from IS187. This game might even become one of the top games in 2020.

Gameplay

“Among Us” takes place in a space-theme setting and players are randomly given 1 of 2 roles (crewmate or imposter) for each round. The goal of the crewmates is to finish tasks and eliminate the imposters. However, the goal of the imposters is to eliminate the crewmates, sabotage the crewmates, and try to convince the crewmates that you aren’t an imposter. Both roles are difficult but at the end of each game, only one role will win.

Rules

The rules of the game are players shouldn’t talk when not voting, players that have the role of “crewmate” should play individually because it would make it unfair for the opposing team which is imposters, and you are allowed to argue but keep the argument under control because it’s just a game. Players should follow these rules because it would make one or the other team unfair and it would become out of hand.
